Spring Is Almost Here!

March 2024

Spring is in the air at Immanuel! Our students have enjoyed outside recess and PE in the past few weeks. This last part of the school year is packed with special events and activities. Our cooking club and chess club are meeting this month and our track and field season will start soon, too.

We have a couple of fundraisers remaining this spring. Our annual ButterBraids sale will be completed in March, and we have started to prepare for our annual Race for Education. While the Race for Education event is in May, we begin preparations in March. This is one of our biggest fundraisers! We hope to raise $25,000 for academic, athletic, and extracurricular improvements around Immanuel.

Our students have also been hard at work preparing for our Fine Arts Night that occurs in April. This will be an enjoyable evening celebration of students’ talents. The book fair will be open then, too. We’ve also begun preparations for our Grandparents’/VIP Day. This will be a fun day of seasonal activities, music, and service projects.

Enrollment is currently open to all families. Prospective families complete the following steps to gain admission to ILS:

1. Tour the school and meet with me
2. Complete the Admissions module online (information provided after Step 1 is completed)
3. Complete the Enrollment module online (information provided after Step 2 is completed)
4. Complete the Financial Aid module online (if needed)

We have been blessed to fill classes quickly over the past few school years, especially in our Pre-K and kindergarten classrooms. If you are interested in learning more about the faith-based education at ILS, please contact the school office at 815-547-5346 to set up a tour.
